Abstract

Medicine and education are facing an unprecedented inflection point due to the emergence of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics, and telemedicine. However, the real differentiator is not the technology itself, but rather the capacity of professionals and organizations to turn knowledge derived from it into a competitive advantage. In this context, medical education can no longer remain anchored in outdated models, but must become a strategic platform for 21st-century skills development. This article reflects on the need for a structural convergence between technology, medicine, and education, and proposes five transformative axes: 1) a comprehensive revision of the medical education model; 2) integration of technologies as educational assets; 3) systematic investment in human talent; 4) adoption of an intersectional and neurodiverse perspective; and 5) ethical and visionary leadership within the health ecosystem.
