General artificial intelligence (AGI) represents an unprecedented technological advancement with the potential to transform multiple dimensions of human development and sustainability. This article explores the implications of AGI in areas such as green economy, social justice, public health, inclusive education, and responsible business practices. Through an interdisciplinary analysis, the challenges and opportunities posed by AGI to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are examined. It is concluded that, although AGI offers powerful tools to address complex global problems, its implementation must be guided by ethical principles and a human-centered approach to ensure that its benefits are equitable and sustainable.
