Education in peaceful environments: thoughts that transcend time

Working to build peace, promote quality education for all, and pay greater attention to the special needs of countries in conflict and crisis are three of the seventeen objectives of UNESCO's 2030 Agenda. But who will make this possible and how? We have a task. Today, here, from this stage that promotes free thinking from theoretical and practical philosophy, we are doing part of the task. If we do not do it ourselves or think it cannot be done, someone else will do it. Throughout history, there have been many thinkers whose inspiration has transcended time, calling our attention, causing reflection and even annoyance. The first is aimed at those of us who are aware that quality education is only possible in an environment of peace, and the second is aimed at those who are uncomfortable with peace, who are indifferent to the concept of education, but are more familiar with the concept of turbulence.
