This text aims to reflect on the relationship between ICT and education from a philosophical perspective. First, the problem is considered by equating it to an essential epistemological discontinuity, in order to highlight the gnoseological nature of the problem. Secondly, some representative features of one of the most popular proposals, namely the concept of ubiquitous learning, are analyzed to define some of its facets and to criticize them from the point of view of the philosophy of education. Thirdly, an alternative and complementary learning paradigm is proposed, whose central axis is the concept of Bildung. Finally, it is concluded by highlighting that no epistemological reflection can be developed without first asking ourselves about the nature of the human being from an anthropological point of view.
