The purpose of this article is to develop two approaches: the first, related to the understanding of empathy maps as a qualitative research methodology, and the second, an analytical approach concerning the results derived from them. These approaches will allow us to identify prospects and possibilities for university pastoral studies. The article is structured in four fundamental parts that allow a comprehensive understanding of the study: the theoretical and methodological references of the research; the second part addresses the relevance in relation to the understanding and scope of empathy maps as a qualitative research methodology; the third part presents the results, findings, and respective analyses of the empathy maps; and finally, the fourth part presents prospects regarding the possibilities that empathy maps offer for the study of university practices (pastoral laboratory).
